Specs: Windows 7
I have headphones plugged in to my pc which uses Realtek HD as its default audio manager, but when I try to listen to audio, it plays whatever I'm trying to listen to on both the speakers and headphones...can anyone help solve this issue? I appreciate your time and assistance in this matter.

✔ Best Answer
I use MagicJack...sometimes music sound comes out of the USB headset that I use for hands-free telephone talk! The best I can suggest is to go Control Panel> Hardware and Sound (click on main green heading) > Sound. You will see a display of all your audio devices. Select what you want as your default and you will see that you can set it as the default device.

Another option is to simply turn either speakers or headphones down or off as you wish. I hope this helps.

Thanks much,

I had a similar issue. I dowloaded an updated version from realtek. I uninstalled and deleted the old realtek audio driver, restarted and installed the updated driver and the problem went away, in this case.

To err is human but to really screw things up, you need a computer!

Is this a fault that has suddenly arrived or was it always that way?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
