Not enough info. Answer the following...

- Does your computer have a dial-up modem?
- Have you disabled dial-up in the browser settings?
- Do you have a wifi adapter connected to the PC, either internal card or external USB?

Try going to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connection tab, then see what's listed under Dial-up & VPN settings. If a dial-up connection is listed, remove it.

If you do not have a Wi-FI on your desktop computer, you can buy a WI-FI adapter, something like this:
