I get an error message when trying to print.

The error message is, " The Active Directory Domain Services is currently unavailable."

It is saying that your company's server may need to be looked at. Contact your IT department. That error would never show on a home user.

Delete the printer icon in Control Panel>Printers and hardware, then update your printer driver from their website, then try reinstalling the printer.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I uninstalled and disabled the printer and used the CD that came with the printer to re-install it and am still having the same error message. The software is up to date the internet said. Plus a couple of times the printer tried to print a sample print and nothing came out. Maybe I'm out of ink now. But will it give me the error message if everything is working fine but the ink cartridges?

Most should, depending on the software suite they include. I do not know Lexmark, so check the manual or their website.
If this printer has worked before and reinstalling the drivers does not fix it, you may be better off doing a system restore to a date back when it was working correctly since you may have a system files corrupted.
