I do not want msn.com as my home page on Internet Explorer 8, I have windows 7 ultimate...I am trying to install an alternative website as my home page. IE8 immediately corrects itself back to msn.com. How do I prevent this from happening?

You're changing it through TOOLS--INTERNET OPTIONS? Try 'use blank' from there and see if it sticks. Apparently 'use default' sets it to MSN.

Why are you still using IE8? Do you have Windows Update disabled or are you deliberately avoiding IE11?

Make sure you click APPLY after changing the home page in Internet Options.

If the procedure given in the link at #1 doesn't stick then best bet is to install IE11 and if you can't sort it out with that we can take it further. For security IE11 is better and IE8 is not compatible with some modern webpages.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
