Solved I can't watch dvd's on my laptop

Specs: Windows 7, intel core 13 2.2GHz / 6 gigs
I have a dvd drive and media player, but for some reason can't play dvd's. It's a new laptop, Toshiba, Windows 7, Windows Media Player...

It didn't work... I don't know what's going on. I can hear the computer working and reading the discs. It just won't play anything. It plays games on disc, just not movies. I haven't tried any burned ones... Maybe it's something with copyright? IDK. My TV is broken and the babies want to watch something! HELP!!!

It's a new laptop,

In that case don't you think maybe you take it back to where you got it and get a replacement if it is not working? That is what warranties are for.

Better yet...CALL Toshiba tech support.

I called Tech Support and they want me to pay to talk to them... LOL I am still under warranty so I guess, I'll find a Toshiba center and see what they can do. Thanks.
