I can't send any messages for the last four days because

July 23, 2016 at 18:17:12
Specs: Windows 7
a message is stuck in my outbox. I think that I I could send that one that the other eight I've written would go. All it says is "unknown error has occurred."

Every so often a pop-up will appear saying something like: Do you want to send the messages in your Outbox?

I'll click Yes, and the same above failure announcement appears every time. Aaaaagh!

Anyone have any idea on how I can send it or get rid of it? Deleting doesn't eliminate it. It gives no help except it did display this website.

Call your ISP and have them empty the mail from the server.

Also - and it's a long shot - ensurethe date and time settings foryour computer are correct. The prpblem as described "can occasionally" be due to incorrect date/time setting; in that it's somewhere ahead of the current/correct. One cannot send messages from the future (well not this time in our scince etc.).

Also perhaps delete the oldest message and see if that's what is causing the block... Again I have found that tobe a solution on the odd occasion.

And also follow the suggestion from "grasshopper" too.

Incidentally to which "outbox" are you referring; Outlook or Outlook Express?

Copy the content of the message in to a new outgoing email.
Make sure the receivers email addresses are correct.

If it is a reply to and incoming email, only copy the essentials.

check if you can send the new email.
Delete the troubled email in your outbox

The starting point is to let us know which program or service you are using for email. They are all very different.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

"It gives no help except it did display this website"

What website? Does computing.net somehow come up as part of the error message or maybe you're also having problems connecting to web sites but managed to get here?
