Assuming you were able to see it before, I would try a System Restore to a date prior to when you started having this problem.

If this doesn’t resolve the issue, ensure that drive c is selected in the windows defragmenter (open it and click “Configure Schedule”, then select Disk under options and make sure that C is checked).

If drive C is checked but still not showing up, you may have to repair the Windows 7 installation.

You can do this by booting into the Win 7 Install Disk making sure you select the “Repair” option, NOT the “Installation” option or you will lose all your files.

But if everything else is fine with your windows installation, the simpler solution would be to use a full-featured defrag program like Diskeeper instead of trying to get the built-in defragger to work properly. Not only will Diskeeper automatically defrag your disks, it will also prevent fragmentation in the first place.

I've always preferred diskeeper over other third-party defraggers.
