July 25, 2011 at 11:17:29
Specs: Windows 7
Why won't "Windows Explorer" open? I don't mean "Internet Explorer", I mean the little yellow document icon beside the start button. I'm using Windows 7. Can anybody help?
P.S It's also known as "Autoplay".

I could try to help. What have you all tried so far. There are many different ways that may fix it. It could be as simple as a reboot or unpin and repin it to the task bar

Or try a system restore.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

✔ Best Answer
Try pressing the Windows key & the E key at the same time. This should launch Explorer.

Just FYI, Windows Explorer is not also known as Autoplay. Explorer is your graphical interface and file explorer program. Autoplay is an action that happens when you insert a CD or flash/thumb drive.
