One usually installs the Operating System onto a Disk Drive.

Why can you not install ? lack of experience ?

Googling is quicker than waiting for an answer....

Definitely supported:

Start over, list your system specs, your install media. Make sure DVD drive is set to first in boot order in BIOS.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

You are giving us too little information to go on.
It could be your memory so use Memtest via a bootable CD.
It could be a hard drive problem so use the hard drive mfg's utility to test the hard drive (also bootable CD).
It could be other problems so supply us with additional information on the machine, why you are installing Windows 7, what media you are installing it from (new install disk, recovery disk, disk you burned yourself, etc.), as well as the results of the above tests.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
