Specs: Windows 7
What does this have to do with my browser?
I do have Avast Browser Cleanup, and delete my browsing history, at the end of the day.
Thank you.

Possibly you have acquired a pest or three?

Download and run:

adwcleaner

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/do...

malwarebytes

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/do...

and also ccleaner

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/do...

Use the free versions. Install each using the manual/custom option - NOT the proffered/default automatic. Watch for and uncheck all pre-checked boxes other than the one for the utility itself. That way you avoid installing all manner of junk. system changes etc. all of which are true PIA to eradicate.

And do you have a decent anti-virus app installed?

Thank you trvir. Now, they seem to work. Sometimes the wind, believe it or not....has effects....very sensory.....even with digital tv....noticed a difference in phone reception, today, too.
I do have CCleaner and Avast Browser Cleanup and Avast Anti-virus.
If I put too many programs on, they could conflict...I've had that happen, before.

The two others I mentioned are generally quite happy with others; as they are only run when you opt to...

Incidentally many regard Avast as a real system resource hog; and prefer something like Bitdefender (free version) which is very light in that respect.

AV type programs won't conflict unless they are running together in the background all the time. The ones given only run when you ask them to and they are fine. They are good at finding what other programs miss and are recommended on many security websites. The two malware programs can be uninstalled after use if you so wish.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks
