Specs: Windows 7 pro, Intel Core i5-4690 @ 3.5Ghz/16.0GB
PC with Win7 won't connect to Internet anymore

The computer can no longer detect a driver for the Network Adapter / WiFi card

When I install Win8 on the same machine, it connects (to the Internet) just fine and finds the Network Adapter card driver etc.

Win7 used to work just fine (on the Internet)

but now it can't find or install a network adapter card / wifi driver

this is actually a HP ProDesk 400, not a Toshiba Satellite laptop

Go to HP web site (on another computer if necessary) and download the correct drivers for your system for Windows 7 (to flash drive if sing another computer) and be sure 32bit or 64bit is correct for your operating system. Install the driver(s) and you should be fine. Start with the chipset drivers and go down the list to get the latest of all.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
