I have used Google Chrome as my chosen browser, from the time I started using computers, it has always been my face page, recently I changed my broadband provider, for bad service. There were many attempts to change my face page, which I have resisted, but yesterday I was no longer able to use Google Chrome, it would not/will not launch. Instead I got Yahoo, and was unable to access my any of my Google pages, including my email.
Today I have uninstalled all Yahoo programs, but am still unable to launch Google Chrome, I can access my Google account using Internet Explorer, but I want to do this via Google as I have always done.I may be cynical and suspicious, but I suspect this is the actions of the broadband supplier that I have just dumped.
Have you tried simply re-installing Chrome? https://www.google.com/intl/en/chro...
Other comments: I very much doubt your ISP is to blame for your problem, unless you installed their software at some point, which with a broadband connection is absolutely unnecessary whichever ISP you use.
I've had broadband for ten years now and never have I installed any of their supplied software because it wasn't necessary, and because I know that doing so can indeed cause problems by forcing you to use their proprietary web browser instead of giving you the freedom to choose.
If that applies to you, I recommend you uninstall your ISP's software for a start. Windows already has all the drivers and software it needs to support a working broadband connection.
