Solved I can not get past Unexpected I/O error has occurred .

Specs: Windows 7
I cannot get past a screen error that's keeps popping up, no matter which way I try to boot the computer, that's comes up as : windows boot manager, an unexpected I/O error has occurred. Status : Oxc00000e9 ( Windows 7 )

It looks like your hard disk is broken. But it's worth making sure that a cable hasn't been dislodged.

Try F8 at boot up. if you get advanced boot options, try Last Good Configuration. If not them maybe hard drive or RAM.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I saw this mentioned in another forum & the problem was a BIOS setting somehow got changed. Go into the BIOS & change your HDD setting from ATA to SATA or SATA to ATA depending on which type of HDD you have.
