Solved I can not bring my volume icon back in the taskbar

Specs: Windows 7
In Wind 7 32 bit, how to bring my sound icon back in the task bar. Note that I can not turn the volume "on - off" in the "Turn System Icons On or Off" pane, in "Notification Area Icons". Another word it has been locked on "Off" and I can not turn it to "On".

Open the Local Group Policy Editor, locate “Remove the volume control icon" and set it to disabled.

If it doesn't work, open the device manager, and update or reinstall the audio driver.

try windows key + R
type: sndvol
and hit enter

that should bring up the default sound menu

It's best to always have icons turned on. Right click on the Start button & then click Properties. On the Taskbar tab, uncheck all boxes under Taskbar appearance & change Taskbar buttons to Never combine. Under Notification area, click the Customize button, & then check the box at the bottom for Always show all icons. Click OK, then click Apply. Now you'll have everything visible. If you have no volume icon, check Device Manager to see if there's any issues. You might just have to reinstall your audio drivers. Can't help you with that because you didn't post any system information.
