Hyperlink internet address issues

August 22, 2012 at 15:32:21
Specs: Windows XP
I am angry because I have just spent 7.5 hrs. online with a company I thought was Microsoft and am still having the same problem. I have been doing 2 newsletter/month for over 10 years and until August never had this problem. All of a sudden, if I download something from the internet, or type in an internet address I get ("Hyperlink, "the internet address") but nothing else - no words, picture, nothing. This started 4 weeks ago and has spread to all of my documents with anthing to do with an internet address. I finally got Microsoft, only to be told I would be charged for help, but they sent me a link which should have resolved the issue. It did not. What can I do about this issue as it is affecting all of my Word documents.

Trillions of errors out there. Very rare you are the first with a new problem. Googling is the best, but the error message must be EXACT.
Hyperlink, "the internet address"

If that was the EXACT message & you can't find a fix, you can try all the repair options available or try another browser & see if that is the same.

1: Another browser.

Why Would I Ever Need an Online Virus Scanner?
I already have an antivirus program installed, isn't that enough?

Once onto a machine, malware can disable antivirus programs, prevent antimalware programs from downloading updates, or prevent a user from running antivirus scans or installing new antivirus software or malware removal tools. At this point even though you are aware the computer is infected, removal is very difficult.
How can I view the log file from ESET Online Scanner?
