This usually happens when the keyboard changes to U.K english - the " and @ are swapped around.

Open the start menu, then type "language" into te search box. Click "Region and Language" and on the 3rd tab move U.S to the top using the "Move Up" button. That will set U.S keyboard layout to highest priority.

You need to follow the above instructions again. Do you want US or UK keyboard?

A thank you would be nice, if I have helped.

Be sure to save the changes.

Try rebooting after the change.

Finally I managed to do it, I must not have saved the changes. Thank you very much,

I thought I would have to live with it.

Thanks a lot for your help.
