HP dv7 laptop BSOD after doing recovery

Specs: Win 7 sp1, Intel Core 2 duo
I used the HP system recovery that should reset to factory settings, now I am getting the BSOD and shuts down. When I bring the laptop back up, I get the popup stating that "windows has shut down due to an unexpected error" and will send to MS to see if there is something that they can find to correct it, but nothing comes back.

Try it from Safe Mode. If it runs from there it is probably a driver issue.
