Solved hp deskjet 3915 printer driver for win 7 pro

October 2, 2011 at 07:56:57
Specs: Windows 7, Dual core 2.5mhz intel processor, d945 mother board, 1 gb ram
The hp deskjet 3915 printer is behaving irratically with windows 7 professional os. In hp customer care the support is withdrawn. more over they said that the drivers for win7 is in os are to be downloaded by usb cable through windows update facility.

The problem is that the printer prints continuously even 25 pages.

1 sometimes it stops in between and starts blinking. if we shutdown the system and starts, it starts printing the leftover pages.

some times even single page also it wont print, but keeps on blinking. Even shutdown restarts also wont work out.

I could not get this peculiar problem some time functioning and suddenly misbehaving.Where the bug is triggering. In software or hardware ? Please give me the solution.

Have you tried installing the printer in a Windows compatibility mode under Windows 7?

Are you using an extra long USB cable?

Look at the link below for more on compatibility mode.

Sometimes intermittent USB issues can be solved by changing the way the hardware is started. If there is an On/off switch on the printer, try turning it on after fully into Windows.

Did you try to update the drivers? Look at the link below. If you have issues that an update does not solve then remove the printer from the listing in Control Panel> Devices and printers. Then reboot and allow Windows to find new hardware and install it.

Thank you for your instant reply sir. i have followed the same earlier. some time it worked and later giving trouble. i am removing the device and reinstalling whenever the trouble comes. up to some extent it is worked out.

What i thought is the second and best method is to install win xp for the best performing r old perfectly working peripherals like this printer and scanner etc. Without going for new one. cost saving and saving india from electronic dump.
