HP a705w Desktop wired keyboard not working

April 21, 2011 at 21:37:37
Specs: Windows XP

I reinstalled XP in my system and everything was fine. I turned on the system today a few days later and the mouse wouldn't work, neither would the keyboard. So I used a USB mouse and that worked fine, but the keyboard still doesn't work. I removed the plug several times and restarted to no avail. I used 2 other keyboards that I have and again... nothing. Still not working. I made sure Netframe was installed too. I can't even get into safe mode or bios or anything. Please tell me it's not the motherboard!

Oh and in device manager it is not showing. I tried to add it but it didn't work. Help!

Thank you!

You posted under the Windows 7 forum, repost under XP.
Did you reinstall your motherboard and other drivers after you reinstalled? Download the newest drivers from HP site.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
