Solved How to uninstall tp-link

Specs: Windows 7
I would like to test another router manufacturer.

Is it nescessary to remove an existing router before re-installing another make or model ?

Not in my limited experience. I have occasionally changed routers; simply powered down the first router, connected my kit to the replacement router and powered up... Then of course one has to configure the replacement

No, just as trvlr says, it is just a matter of unplugging one and plugging in the other.

There is no software installed on the computer in relation to the router. All the configuration and setting are stored within the router itself.

When connecting the new router it may be necessary to do a re-boot so the computer can recognise the new router. What may change is the IP adores to get into the routers configuration pages.
