how to turn on\off wireless\bluetooth?

on my small sony viao with Windows 7, there was an internal switch in the lower right hand corner of the screen and if you click on it you have wi-fi and bluetooth both with an on/off switch. Since I was not using my wi-fi, I slid the wi-fi into off position and later that day, I wanted to use wi-fi and the icon that was in the lower left hand corner of the screen was gone and for the past two days I have been trying to find it! every troubleshoot attempt tells me to turn on wireless capability but has never shown me "how to" turn on the wireless capability.there is a physical switch to turn on and off wireless below the wireless light but it does not work in any way now. Someone please help.

Check Device Manager too see if it's a driver problem (you'll see an error symbol in the "Network Adapters" category if it's a driver problem).

If it shows an error, re-install the wireless driver. You can download it from the Sony Vaio support website. This is the US website: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/selec...

Or for European countries, go here: http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computi...

you shouldn't have a corrupt driver if you just 'turned it off' as you say....why not just do a system restore back to when it WAS working? That may work for you.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions 7 Medals
