Specs: Windows 7
I have just purchased the Lenovo A6000 and i have transfered some music over to the tablet, but it went into the music files. I an very confused as to how you play it or where it should be, and i have tried to use the playmusic app, but got very confused. Do i have the facility to listen to music either transfered over or bought on the internet?

It depends mainly on the file format.

MP3 files can be played on any device (as long as the device can handle that format), but some other music file types (eg those bought from Apple) contain embedded DRM (Digital Rights Management) and won't play on non-Apple devices.

Not all files from Apple have DRM. M4A audio files do not have DRM, M4P audio files do. If you have iTunes installed on your computer, you should be able to play DRM protected files if you have the rights to them. Windows WMA files can also be protected.
