When you say repair do you mean it is trying to perform a check disk? if so then just let it complete and it will no longer do it on startup again.

otherwise can you be a bit more detailed as to what is happening please.

How long do you let it sit there when it's repairing itself? Sometimes that takes awhile.

If that doesn't help, can you boot to safe mode?

What does your screen say during bootup? Does it mention about not being shut down properly? The more details you can give us the better.

If you've given it ample time to complete, try this which can sometimes "unstick" things:
Turn off and disconnect from domestic power. Remove the main laptop battery then hold the Power Off/On button down for about 20 seconds. Re-assemble and see if that gets you out of the immediate problem.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks

Manually hold down the power button until the machine completely shuts off. Press the power button again after a minute and tap F8 repeatedly until the advanced boot options shows. If you are offered the option "Last good configuration", select that and hit enter.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
