Solved how to set up permissions on a shared file

Specs: 7, Dual Core/16 gigs DDR3
I have multiple computers running Windows 7, 10 and Linux on my network.

I would like one computer (Windows 7 for now, but may upgrade to 10) to access a share on another computer (same OS situation).

I don't want the other computers to see the folder.

Can I map a network drive or something?

Old stuff that still works, somewhat....

As I understand you can only share folders.
Copy of create a shortcut of the files you want to share in "Public folder".
Permission can be set on the shared folders as well as users who can access it.
