Obvious answer - stop downloading, Practical answer - backup to archival storage and delete files or add network storage.

If this is a desktop then purchase a second hard drive ($40.-$60. for 500GB or around a hundred or so for a 1TB drive).
If this is a laptop you can purchase an external hard drive and off load the files you do not immediately need.
OR
You can go through the files and see what you really need and delete those you do not really need.
There is really no other choice unless you can invent a virtual hard drive out in a warp pocket somewhere.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Compression may help.

The answer is to stop downloading junk.

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
