Specs: Windows 7, 640gb hard drive
HP Pavilion Slimline s5610f PC Ibought this from Office max 2 months ago didnt come with disk and i cant remember sign in password the one i had written down isnt working

the only thing you can do is grit your teeth and do a factory restore, this will delete all your files and reset your machine to the day you bought it...you can find the details in the manual or on the hp website, but offhand i think you tap the f10 key at boot

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....

Just contact HP and explain your dilema. They deal with that problem on a steady basis I'm sure.

My dear xpuser4real...it is my experience that most people do not make a password reset disk when they get their machine,
that no so called password reset programs do not work well win 7,
and that getting help from HP service desk is like pulling teeth.

doing a factory reset on a 2 month old machine is without doubt the fastest and least painful way to recover from a password reset error..in my opinion.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
