Solved how to remove parent.lock from thunderbird? msg says no?

March 26, 2015 at 11:40:34
Specs: Windows 7
TB running but nor responding.

finally located the parent.lock on TB after being told that the problem of no response while running could be fixed by removing the parent.lock. ( I never set it up in the first place; no children here on the computer.)

Somehow I finally found the process called parent.lock but it cannot be deleted. Any ideas? ...Never had problems with TB before, and have used it for a few years.

...Internet works fine. I have Windows 7.

Parental lock didn't get set by itself. We don't know if you are the parent or the child.

I am assuming if you are the parent you have also set an account up for your child that does NOT have administrative rights. So they would not be able to make changes to the account.

Delete and rei-nstall TB. as the administrator.
