how to remove internet explorer or repair it from crashing

July 28, 2013 at 01:41:20
Specs: Windows 7
Internet Explorer 10 was installed as an update one week ago and ever since it continues to close during operation. I need to remove it, repair it or is it something to do with Active X controls?

Thanks

You can remove it and IE will automatically revert to the previous version you had:

Control Panel > Programs & Features (in Icon view, not Category view).

Click "View installed updates" in the left panel.
Scroll down to "Windows Internet Explorer 10".
Right-click it, then left-click "Uninstall".

Hi, Thanks for that. That is exactly as I would have expected to do it as with any other programme. However, IE does not appear in the "Uninstall" list. It is just not there to do in the normal manner.

"IE does not appear in the "Uninstall" list"

If you carefully read response #1, you'll see you're NOT being told to use the "uninstall a program" list. You're being told to use the "uninstall an update" list which is something different.

Bazza8247, read my reply again (Response #1) -- carefully this time!
