One or two questions here... are you the owner of the computer, are you the administrator?

If you are an administrator and know the existing password then removing it is easy. Otherwise you should talk to the owner of the computer who should have this information. Few members of this forum will help with password issues. The problem is that we have no way of knowing if you have legitimate access to the computer in question and no assurance that such information would not be used for illegal purposes.

Under users in control panel you select the user you want to remove a password from then it gives you the option.

I am trying to remove win 7 and put xp pro onto a one year old laptop. I need to be able to use Frontpage and I cant get it to load even in compatability mode.

I cant get into the hard drive setting in bios, cos they are passworded and I cant run chkdsk /f for the same reason. I get told I dont have the privaliges. I have waited til the computer was over 12 months old, not expecting any conflict and now the company say they dont help cos it's out of time, but the passwords would have been on when the machine was first activated by them.

Can anyone help me please? I really need to get this site published.

Thanks, AnnaE
