Please get the terms straight.
Reboot simply means to restart the machine.
You may have tried a System Restore.
You apparently want a Factory Restore.
Your manual or online manual will tell you what key or keys to tap at start up to access your Recovery Console to begin the Factory Restore.

Hi,
Can you please give us the make and model of your computer? If we have that information then we can better assist you. Also what is the reason you would like to start over with it?

So i thought i would reboot because i've tried restore and it didn't work. I do not have a back up disk i don't think i do have the disk that came with the computer. But don't if it's the right one.

Check out your manual on how to access your hidden partition, that way you won't need an installation disc
