Specs: Windows 7
I have an hp officejet 6110 printer. Windows 7 provides a driver for the 6100 series which according to hp is correct. Everything works fine except the grayscale setting in the color options. All documents print in color. I have tried resetting this option a number of times. Is there some magic incantation I need to perform to get the printer to print in grayscale.

To get full function out of the printer you need to download your printer's driver from HP. If they did not bother to make a Windows 7 driver for your printer (not unusual) due to it being an older model, you will have to stay with the Windows provided driver and loose some features. I have an HP printer that I cannot access the ink levels from Windows 7 for the same reason.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Yes, it is an older model and hp doesn't provide drivers for it. It does seem like handling grayscale settings would be a given. oh well I'll just have to deal with it.
thanks for the reply
