How to make W7 remember my Desktop icons size

Microsoft Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit

Specs: Windows 7, Intel Dual Core / 4GB RAM
Every time I log into my Windows 7 account, I have to set the size of the icons on the desktop to small again. For some reason, by default, the size always goes back to the way it came on reboot, which is medium. Any ideas?

If your monitor supports it, go to a higher resolution, that will reduce your icon size and make it permanent. I do not have experience with changing the icon size the way you are, but it would be logical that it should be saved under your preferences.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
If all else fails, read instructions.

The highest resolution I can go is 1280x800. I'm on a laptop.
