How to install New programmes in 64 bit os

Specs: Windows XP, core i3
I have brought a new Dell Laptop it has Win 7 OS 64bit. I am unable to install any kind of softwares /programmes . like Autocad, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Etc etc. plz Help me what should i do as i am not familiar with Win 7, I know best Win Xp. But cannot format My Laptop. plz Help

Are you installing new programmes or formatting your laptop... your post is unclear!

It basically works the same. For a program on CD/DVD, just put in the disk and autorun should bring up the installer, for downloaded programs, just double click the installer file. There is not any significant difference in installing programs.

There is no reason to format and even less to attempt installing XP, so forget that.

For Autocad & Ilustrator, I hope you have 64 bit and 8GB or more memory to run well.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Why can't you install programs???????? ???? ?

1/3 of highway deaths are caused by drunks. The rest are by people who can't drive any better than a drunk.
