Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to install MySQL connector. It looks like the only version is 32bit, is it possible to install this 32bit application on a Windows 7 64bit?

Use the 64-bit version, available from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/conn...

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the quick reply. What I am looking for is the MySQL.Net connector. I am using Visual Studio 2008 and following a tutorial http://www.vbmysql.com/articles/vbn...
I am fairly new to this and I am not too sure if the ODBC connector would work in this instance.

Thanks in advance

It appears it can be done. There's a discussion on the linked page about some incompatibilities:

I haven't actually tried it but it says here: http://forums.mysql.com/read.php?38... that the .NET connector will work with 32- or 64-bit.

You should be able to take any .NET assembly (and I presume that's what the connector is) and run it on any system. The assemblies use an intermediate code that is bit-agnostic.
