Just install it. You don't need to do anything special. But you may have problems if it has a 16-bit installer or if it is not designed to work with Windows 7.

What program is it, and have you tried to install it?

16bit programs will not run on your sytem. Compatibily will not help you, but you may be able to use a virtual XP machine (aftermarket/download) and that might help.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
