how to increase space for backup disc D in wi

Specs: Windows Vista
I have windows 7 ultimate and the low disc for back up keeps poping up all the time. I have 2 drice C and D how can i increase the space in drive D so as to back up my files.

What kind of system do you have. Typically the partition you are referring to is the recovery one that you are not supposed to touch. The partition size is just large enough to contain the files to rebuild the system if Windows needs reinstalled. If you modify it or save files to it the ability to rebuild the system can be damaged.

it says recovery but my back up files go it also. so every time a new back up occurs I guess it eats up space and then it is run out of space. should my back up files go to another dricve like C and in a different folder?? how do I set that up. Thanks for the reply.
