Hi I would like to know to identify a file type?

Either post the file type here or Google it would probably be a good start..... "I've always been mad, I know I've been mad, like the most of us..."
The file is a big one and it is iso type but ultraiso shows me that file is empty so it can be a different type.
If the file appears as empty then what difference does it make?
