After hibenate, when I resume Windows 7 is not going to the logon screen. Instead it goes straight to where I left off. This is dangerous because anyone can bypass the logon on my laptop if I chose hibernate instead of shutdown. How do I correct this?

Go into control panel and choose Power Options. You can set your preferences there for Hibernate.

I have require password on wakeup set, so this is not working. Must be something else. I wonder if performing hibernate and then waking up within a certain time (less than 10 minutes, for example) avoids the logon screen.

I had require password on wakeup set, so this was not the problem. However, now the logon screen has returned. What I did was I changed the setting and then set it back to require password. Maybe there was some kind of conflict....

Anyway, seems to be working now.

Thanks.
