how to get Toshiba laptop HD password removed

Specs: Windows 7 home prem, 2 gig
hi i was trying to remove the user password from my toshiba satellite c650 i went into bios to try remove it and now its got a password on the hard disk i think as soon as i power up the comp the passwords kicks in it wont even let me enter any settings or anything dose any one no how to fix this or were i can get it fixed i live in england in the greater manchester area thanks

call toshiba, they will need proof of purchase and lots of info, but if you can give them all the info they need they will give you a code to fix your issue.

i hate computers!

That's an anti-theft thing on laptops. If you can't get the password from the origional owner you may as well use the laptop for an anchor, because even using a new HD you cannot access the bios.

Even calling the Toshiba help desk wont work as its not not something that can be fixed over a call, you actual need to take youor laptop to Toshiba service center and then they will fix it because it needs bios cmos battery to removed and then plugged in to reset the BIOS settings so there is no software fix to it.
