Immediately stop using the computer except for recovering purposes. The more you use it, the less chance you have at fully recovering the photos.

If the photos were previously on your hard drive, download the portable version of Recuva to a flash drive (hope you have one). If they were on a flash drive, download Recuva portable to your hard drive. Restore the photos to the same drive that you put Recuva on, not where they originally were. Doing so avoids overwriting photo 2 while you're recovering photo 1. Once the recover process is done, then move them to the appropriate drive. Don't forget to back up important data and save yourself from having to recover in the future.

First, for precaution, on which partition did the photos saved? If it's saved on the C: drive, I recommend you to shut down your computer right now, because any activity you do on your computer are involving data writing to the C: drive, thus your deleted photos could be overwritten and difficult to recover. Remove the hard drive, then install it on another computer. Browse this website from another computer.

Recuva download: http://filehippo.com/download_recuva/

Download Recuva data recovery software, then install it.

Follow these steps to recover your photos:
1. Open Recuva.
2. Click Next (to run the wizard).
3. On next step select Pictures.
4. Click Next again.
5. For file location, select 'In specific location', the click Browse to choose the drive which photos are saved.
6. Click Next.
7. On next step tick the 'Enable deep scan', then click Start. Now you just have to wait for the process to finish.
8. When it finished, it will show list of pictures that can be recovered. Tick on the photos which you want to recover, then click Recover to save the photos.

Another free but effective data recovery program. If this program gives you the same results, no recovery, then paying for a program will not likely get better results.

That's because your files are already overwritten.

If data recovery software can't do the job, i think you should contact professional data recovery service.
