how to get outlook into the default program

Specs: Windows 7
outlook is not listed as a default program. what to do to add it as one.
How do I use outlook as a default program when it is not listed as an option for a default program.

When you open Outlook, it should ask to if you want it to be your default email program. Just answer Yes. Otherwise there should be place within Outlook to set it manually (I have not used it in years) and in Start>Control Panel>Default Programs you can set it.
If you are talking about your browser so that when you click on email to it comes up, you can set that in your browser by going to Tools>Options>Applications and setting it there. That is in Firefox but in Internet Explorer it is similar, I believe it is Tools>Internet Options>Applications or something like that.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
