How to fix the Fie System error 512 for windows 7. With my messing around with WMP3 files and other stuff I must have messed up my system. Presently I can't create files or subfiles and whatever I do I get thismessage as in above. Google didn't help much so here am I...needing help again.

Hi Johnw. I tried and message comes up:. Access denied as you do not have sufficient privileges. You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode.

I went through that procedure at least 9 times and it does not work. Only solution I think is to either repair or a clean install. I don't have access to a disk or any W7 software.

Can you do system restore to before you messed with things? If so we can continue on your other post to fix the original problem of files not playing in your car (provided you give the information about the files requested on there).

Yes it was. Got a disk that helped me basically repair it by reinstalling missing files. Even WMP is working and no error 512. Strangely the 5 beeps every 2 seconds still remain.
