Specs: Windows 7
Time cards is a combination of military hours but minutes are based on 60 seconds. Say you clock in at 7.16 meal out at 12.02 and meal in at 13.10 and clock out at 16.35. How can I calculate the hours on a calculator?

but minutes are based on 60 seconds

Aren't they always?

The only way do it on a calculator unless the calculator has a built in time function is to reduce all the times to minutes. Do you calculation then divide by 60. That's they way a computer does time calculations only it works on seconds.

13.65 - 7.16 = 9 hours 19 minutes total time.

13.10 - 12.02 = 1 hour 8 minutes. If I subtract meal time from the total time, it would be:

9.19 - 1.08 = 8 hours 11 minutes worked.

Convert from military time. subtract 12 after 1:00
Military time is on a 24 hour clock.

Example 13:00 -12 = 1:pm

Military time doesn't have AM and PM
