Using Norton 360 on Win 7. Want to remove some old folders from backup disk.
Back up folders are typically compressed to save space and usually the back up software does not allow individual files to be deleted as a protection for your back up, though you can usually do a partial restore.
The only way I can think of is to make a new back up and delete the older one.
Why are you not using the built in Windows 7 back up? With the Windows 7 back up and a drive image plus the Windows 7 Repair Disk (you make it in the back up section). you can completely restore your system even to a new hard drive. Using the Norton back up you first have to install Windows 7, then install Norton, and then you can restore your files and settings. You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
Open the backup in explorer and see if you can delete the file like a normal file. A Pit Bull is like a gun you can pet. And there is no safety on it.
