How to delete a folder same as the file name in ms-dos?

Specs: Windows 7
Im copying a file from one folder to another folder of type .war in command prompt. On completion of copying with the same file name i will get a folder and i don't need dat folder how do i delete dat folder?
NOTE:I want to delete only the folder of the copied file not the remaining or all folders.

Re-name the folder first then delete it.

Confusing post.

There is a file extension called DAT. When you refer to "dat" is it some crazy way of saying "that", or what? Avoid text speak on technical forums (if that's what it is).
