Open your music player on your computer. Put in the CD. If it starts playing, stop it. Your music player will have an option for copying the music, often called 'Rip CD', 'Rip Music', or something similar. In Windows Medial Player you can go to options and set these under the 'Rip Music' tab. You can also get more help from Windows Help on your computer.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Fingers is correct---you can't really "copy" the .cda files to the hard-drive itself; you have to "rip" them to another format (.mp3, .wav, etc.) before they can be stored on the hard-drive.
