how to change the boot drive in a HP p6777c

Specs: Windows 7 home premium, i7-860
I have installed a second drive in this machine, and then used Casper to make a mirror image to the second drive. Now both drives have the windows 7 64bit operating system on both drives.

Disk 0 is the original HP drive
Disk 1 is the new added drive

Both physical hard drives have 2 volumes on them. One volume had all the data, and a smaller 13gig volume has the Operating system backup files? on it.

After doing the Casper mirror thing, both physical hard drives have a folder called boot and of course have the bcd files in that boot folder.

If I change the SATA connections on the mother board around, then I end up getting a dos screen ( black background with white letters ), that says it is a "WINDOWS BOOT MANAGER" screen, mentioning that there is a problem with the \boot\bcd

My whole reason for doing this, is incase something goes wrong with the original HP drive, that I can then rely on using the new mirror drive.

Problem is, I can't boot off of that mirrored drive.

Any ideas please?

on boot up you should be able to press a function key to enter the setup, once u enter the setup you can change your boot priorities to the mirror drive
