Solved how to change format from UDF to NTFS?

August 20, 2018 at 14:17:23
Specs: Windows 10
I burned a DVD with many data, in Windows 7, but I believe at the moment of choosing the format to burn I made some mistake, the computer reads the list of all the folders and files burnt but it can not read them, because it is unknown format. The format of the data is UDF, I think it should be NTFS, or maybe FAT 32. So how can I read the info? maybe it is possible to copy all to a hard drive and then change the format to NTFS with some software?

That's a very good point to remember/remind - finalising the session...

UDF is just that - a universal data format. Compatible across all OS; and usually used on cd/dvd.

This link explains more and offers options in converting a file - if necessary.

Please explain how you went about burning your files to the disc. What burning software did you use?

If you did not finalize the session, or the disk you may have a problem reading the disk on other computers.

CD's and DVD's cannot be formatted to FAT32 or NTFS. Those file systems are not compatible with discs.

If you need to get the data back off of your disc, try IsoBuster. It's a great tool to have.
