I have to ask since I remember many years ago I backed up using Windows 2000 and when I ran a restore everything was crap, not all my settings were saved, etc. How is Windows 7? I see that it uses a disk image like Norton Ghost, so I assume it restores everything exactly like it was when I backed it up? I am also confused where it creates an image and "regular" backup. Please let me know and thanks.

I hear that it is pretty good, but I have not used it to restore anything. A regular back up makes a compressed file of your personal folders or what ever you specify in the options and it can also do a complete image of your drive. Most store their back ups on removable external hard drives, while others install another hard drive (I use an old hard drive recovered from my last computer, cleaned out and installed), and others use networked drives from servers or other computers (partition off a drive and make it share as a household back up or each for the other computer).

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

its damn good, you make a backup, an image, a repair/recovery cd/usb, store them where you like, backs up files you chose or automatically, works as well if not better than anything else out there..in my opinion.

i hate computers!
but cant help myself....
