Specs: Windows 7, 2.5
Hi all

It has been a while since i wrote here.

I would like to know how well would this work in a small office.

3 computers with Windows XP and 1 computer with Windows 7 Ultimate. Would there be any problems in the way of sharing files and printers. Also would all of this work on network.

Thanks in advance

I have a Linux box, XP laptop and Vista laptop on a home network and they worked just fine with file sharing and printing. I have a wireless router/modem (with four ethernet ports), the printer is connected to the Linux box with a parallel cable and the box is connected to the router/ modem with an ethernet cable. The two laptops are wireless and I a wireless print server and the two laptops can both print (the printer has a USB cable from it to the print server). I have a external HDD connected via ethernet to the router/modem and all three computers can access the external drive and that is where I do my backups. The external drive has videos on it and I can watch them from any computer. I got rid of Vista and now have WIN 7 on that laptop and it still works just fine.

Getting Windows 7 security/sharing settings to work with XP will be a little bit of work, but not that difficult. It works for us also at home. Go for it.

Home Groups are for Windows 7 only home networks, not mixed.
